RAB held 35 members of teen gang

 Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested 35 members including two masterminds behind several notorious teen gangs from various parts of the capital.

RAB-2 Assistant Director (Media) ASP Shihab Karim said several teams of RAB-2 carried out raids from March 11 to March 18 in connection with a conflict between one group and another group and arrested 35 members including the main leader of the teen gang. 

The arrested are FDC Munna group’s ring leader Ismail Hossain alias FDC Munna (28), gang member Akash (24), Farid. The main owners of 'King Jamal Group' are Jamal Hossain (31), Imam Hossain (20), Arif alias Rasel Mia (20). Musharraf (32) of 'King Musharraf Group', his associate Ferdaus Bepari (25), Arman Sheikh (18), Sunny Mia (18).

The main leader of 'Apna Bhai Group' is Shakib aka Basti Shakib (19), Nahid (20), Laden (21), and other group’s Hriday (22), Abu Siddique (45), Khokon (35), Niloy Ahmed (25), Ibrahim (26), Biblab Sheikh (20), Rabbi Hossain (24), Tarek Zia (22), Jamal (26), Shimul (23), Ratan (19), Palash (24), Saeed (24), Sharif ( 20), Rajan (22), Manik (24), Kabir (24), Hasan (22), Saeed (19), Raja Sheikh (28), Ikram (25) and Biplab Sheikh (22).

The RAB official said The arrested persons used to commit robbery, and extortion under the guise of various professions including car helpers and drivers, shop employees, construction workers, second-hand goods buyers and vegetable sellers.

Shihab Karim said that recently, several general diaries and cases have been registered in various police stations in the capital for various types of terrorist activities, including robbery and extortion. 

At that time, weapons used in various terrorist activities -- machetes, knives, Chinese axes, cutters, and various sharp weapons, were recovered from their possession.

Shihab Karim also said that they used to carry out extortion, robbery, and other terrorist activities in Mohammadpur, Adabar, Beribandh, Dhaka Udyan area and Nakhalpara area of Sher-E-Bangla Nagar. 

The group suddenly surrounded the lone passers-by, threatened them with sharp weapons, forcibly robbed them of money and valuables and fled. 

They were also involved in drug dealing in these areas, along with drug consumption. Basically, they used to conduct various criminal activities to dominate the areas of Nakhalpara, Mohammadpur, and Adabar. 

He also said that they have been handed over to different police stations in the capital to take legal action against those arrested.
