An operational team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-5, Rajshahi CPC-1 headed by Company Commander (in-charge) Sajal Kumar Sarker recovered one kiolgramm of heroin with a motorbike from Jamtola village under Chapainawabganj sadar on Saturday afternoon.
The RAB team also arrested the drug peddler Milon, 28, son of Abdur Rahim of village Kalyanpur of Chapainawabganj red handed.
Meanwhile, in another operation, a team of RAB-5, Chapainawabganj camp recovered one 7.65 mm Pistol with two magazines with five rounds of bullets from the possession of top firearms smuggler Rubel Hossain, 22, from a field in Chapainawabganj. RAB arrested Rubel son of Dukhu of Jaminpur village under Shibganj police station of Chapainawabganj district. Both the arrested persons have been sent to the court.
