Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained two persons on charges of forging the signatures of Chittagong BRTA officials and using fake seals to produce fake driving licenses and driving license apprentice cards.
The two were handed over to Khulshi police station on Monday. “They were detained from gate 2 under Khulshi police station on Sunday night,” RAB said.
The arrestees were identified as Mohammad Manu Mia, 55, son of Abdul Jabbar of Cumilla district and Mohammad Abul Hashem, 42, son of Kabir Ahmed of Rangunia upazila. They are known as BRTA brokers.
According to the RAB, three fake licenses and fake seals made in the name of various BRTA officials were recovered from them.
RAB-7Assistant Director (Media) Md. Mahmudul Hasan Mamun said that two people involved in forging driving signatures and making driving license apprentice cards by forging the signatures of Chittagong BRTA officials and using fake seals had been arrested.
Three fake licenses and fake seals made in the name of various BRTA officials were recovered from them. The two detainees are basically fraudsters.
‘The two detainees were handed over to Khulshi police on Monday,’ said Md Mahmudul Hasan Mamun.
