Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested 29 alleged muggers in separate drives in the capital and recovered huge number of sharp weapons from their possessions on Thursday night.
"Acting on a tip-off, teams of RAB-2 made the arrests in separate drives in capital's Mohammadpur, Adabor, Hajaribagh, Dhanmandi and Tejgaon area," RAB-2 senior ASP (media) Md Fajlul Haque told BSS this morning.
The senior RAB official said they recovered huge number of knives, straight razors, and other sharp weapons from the possession of the arrestees.
They will be handed over to local police stations and legal actions will be taken in this regard, RAB sources said.
