Rapid Action Battalion on Monday night arrested a fugitive convict from city’s Tejgaon area.
The arrested was identified as Rajib Sheikh,34.
Talking to the Bangladesh Post, Lt Col Arif Mohiuddin, Commander Officer of the RAB-3 confirmed it on Tuesday.
Getting secret information, a team of RAB-3 raided at Tejgaon area on Monday night and nabbed the fugitive convict.
Rajib, son of one Md Shokkur Ali, hailing from Kashiani Upazila of Gopalganj district.
He was sentenced ten years in a narcotics case, said RAB-3 boss Lt Col Arif.
He was accused in a case filed over illegal drug trading in 2015. After the court handed down verdict against him, he went on hiding in different district of the country.Finally the elite force arrested him from the capital.
Lt Col Arif said, the arrested drug trader was handed over to the police.
