The recent killing of a student of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) has started an uproar across the nation. Students of BUET and other public universities have started protesting against such immoral and illogical killing. However, the law enforcing authorities were quick on their feet and arrested the killers of Abrar within a day. Many of Abrar’s friends are still on the roads protesting his killing, but Abrar’s father has reportedly accepted and is satisfied with the swift action taken by the government.
Reports have been published in this daily which point to the fact that the government is quick to ensure justice to anyone seeking it. And in case of Abrar’s killing the prompt action of law enforcement personnel is commendable. This has resulted in the capture of all the culprits who were involved in his torture and untimely death.

Many are commending the quick action of the police. It is quite praiseworthy indeed that the law enforcers have been able to capture the culprits who were involved in the killing. The most important factor in all this is that the Prime Minister herself has a grasp on the feeling of painful phase one has to undergo upon losing the dearest ones which Abrar’s father can sympathies with.
It is imperative that the authorities concerned take prompt action in bringing these culprits to justice. There have been senseless killing in the past on various campuses but this is the first time such an act of killing of a student in a top ranking university has created such an uproar.
Exemplary punishment should be given to these reckless-student politicians so that no one can initiate such actions in future.
