The country’s education rate and quality must have to increase to face the upcoming challenges to build a corruption-free and knowledge based nation and also to face the fourth industrial revolution.
Those who are trying to manipulate the country's education system will not be spared, all concerned must have to ensure the quality of education.
Former health minister and member of Awami League Advisory Committee Mohammed Nasim came up with the remarks while speaking as chief guest at the inauguration of an education expo on Friday.
Foreign Admission and Career Development Association of Bangladesh (FACD-CAB) organized the two-day fair for the fifth time styled '5th Premier Bank International Education Expo- 2019' at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the capital. He said the present government, led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, is very keen to increase the quality of the country's education. “The day is not too far when Bangladesh will import students in a great number rather only exporting for higher education abroad” he added.
“In the meantime, a good number of foreign students from Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and other neighboring countries have taken higher education in our country. With their acquired knowledge, lots of them are serving their respective countries” he added further.
Different universities from the USA, Canada, Australia, UK, Latvia, China, Malaysia, Nepal, and host Bangladesh are participating in the international education expo.
FACD-CAB General Secretary QaziFaridulHaque and the expo convenor and CEO of Sanzen International MonirulHaque also spoke at the opening ceremony.
At the fair, the aspiring students and parents can grab the opportunity to meet face-to-face with admission authorities and gather correct information on courses that are in demand. They can also collect information on eligibility, course fees, installment options, placement scope.
The expo also offers spot registration of admissions a wide range of subjects as per the admission procedure of the respective universities.
