The Ministry of Education did not allow the opening of Qawmi madrasas in the country. The notification given by the Ministry of Education to open the madrasa is not correct.

This information was unveiled in a press release sent by the public relations officer of the Ministry of Education Mohammad Abul Khair on Thursday night.

It said a circular signed by Maulana Mohammad Jobair, Director General (acting) of Befaqul Madarisil Arabia Bangladesh, claimed that the Ministry of Education had given permission to open the Qawmi Madrasa from August 11, which is not true.

After the notification of Befaqul Madarisil Arabia Bangladesh, the Ministry of Education made it clear that the Qawmi Madrasa has not been allowed to open.

The ministry has not yet taken a decision on reopening the country's Qawmi madrassas, the release further said.

All educational institutions were declared closed from March 17, last year, after the first Covid-19 positive case was found on March 8 that month.
