Qatar Airways has closed its Dhaka office temporarily over coronavirus outbreak in the country and requested to book flight tickets online.
The Airways announced the closure in a press statement on Wednesday.
It is to be noted, Qatar Airways has received approval to operate flights to and from Bangladesh from 16 June, operating 3 flights per week.
As there has been a high demand from customers looking for tickets, a large number of people gathered its Dhaka office to book tickets and unfortunately did not observe strict social distancing.
“As the safety and security of our customers and employees is our top priority, we have temporarily closed the office to maintain social distancing and now politely request all passengers call or email us to help with their bookings”, added the statement.
