The private health sector has come under much scrutiny because of recent controversies regarding irregularities. This is something that has raised a great hue and cry among cross-sections of people and the government is now eventually focusing on how to improve the service of private healthcare sector.

This is one of the most sought after sectors as millions avail of the service of private hospitals and thus a standard needs to be maintained. Because of the invisible pressure private hospitals and clinics are now taking steps to correct their mistakes.

A report published in this daily projected that the government is looking to bring back discipline in the country’s private health sector. In this regard owners of the private hospitals, clinics, diagnostic centres and blood banks seem to have become desperate to renew or get licences following the formation of task force.

In this time of coronavirus dealers of medical equipment

have sprouted up everywhere. It is necessary to check

their licence and authenticity

This is something that should have already been assured by the authorities of such healthcare centres to exhibit a better sense of being responsible on their parts. We, however, also commend the way they are now looking to better them when the water is nearing their ears. It is not yet too late to rectify them.

In this time of coronavirus dealers of medical equipment have sprouted up everywhere. It is necessary to check their licence and authenticity and also verify the stock they are selling to hospitals to ensure proper maintenance of quality.

Despite a large number of healthcare centres renewing their licence there is a large number of hospitals which are yet to apply for renewal of licence. It is imperative that strict action be taken against these people who are yet to follow proper procedures.

And it is important to campaign against those who are not up to the mark in providing service and revoke their licence as well. These measures are harsh but necessary to keep the would-be wrongdoers at bay so that no such irregularities take place in the private healthcare sector again.
