PUST students want more economic, follow-up report in Bangladesh Post

Students of Pabna University of Science & Technology (PUST) underscored the need for publishing economic, education, sports, corruption, regional report and follow up reports more in the English Daily Bangladesh Post to achieve acceptability of readers.

The PUST students made the comments while talking to the Pabna correspondent of the newspaper on the campus on Monday.Iffat Jannat, a final year student of Engineering Department of the university, said, “More economic reports should be published in the paper. Most of the people do not know about loans. Therefore, they do not get loans though the government has initiated the project for the betterment of the people. More economic reports should be published so that people can learn important matters from the newspapers.”

Mehedi Hasan Tanim of the same department said series reports should be published on Public Universities. Stories, articles, and poem by students should be published more in Bangladesh Post. This culture should be started from Bangladesh Post, he added.

Third year student of Urban and Regional Planning Department Kazi Jannatul Maowa Mim said there were lots of international news in Bangladesh Post's sports page. News on local sports should be given more importance. Regional news should be published more.

Kayab Khondoker said campus ambassador is needed for improving quality of the newspaper. More follow-up news should be published in the newspaper.

However, Sayeeda Tasnim Adrita, a student of Urban and Regional Planning Department, said the page making, news, feature makeup of Bangladesh Post is very nice, and it should be continued.
