National Film Award winning actress Purnima said that she will stand in front of the camera again after the long hiatus cuased by coronavirus.

She will return to shooting for the movie ‘Gangchil’ directed by Naeem Imtiaz Neyamul. The film is based on Obaidul Quader’s novel. Although the shooting is not over, the poster of the movie has already been published on Facebook.

Purnima has not been out of the house since she was safe during the lockdown. She underwent home quarantine since the lockdown, largely out of respect for state orders.

She did not leave the house mainly for the safety and well-being of their children. But if the shooting of the movie starts according to the hygiene rules, it is known that she will shoot.

However, if the shooting is done without proper hygiene then will not participate in the shoot. The shooting of ‘Gangchil’ has not been finalized yet. However, shooting of different movies is going to start from September 10.

Purnima said, “In the days of lockdown, I did not leave the house at all. Even so, owning one is still beyond the reach of the average person. That’s why I haven’t decided to go back to work yet because, to me, like everyone else, family safety comes first.

My daughter Arshia is most worried. Her safety is more important. For that reason, if the shooting is done properly, then it can be considered. When it is time, it is actually a matter of thought. But since it is important to finish Gangchil’s work, if I work, I will start with Gangchil.”
