Purnima is a National Film Award winning artiste. She is seen to be active in many spheres whether it is drama, telefilm, movies, presenting or social media. She is seen everywhere. After a long break, she has returned to the ever-familiar scene of ‘lights, camera and action’. However, her return has been like that of royalty. The actress is working in two films under the direction of Naim Imtiaz Neyamul. The name of the movie is ‘Gangchil’ and ‘Jam’. In this, Ferdous and Arifin Shuvo have paired up with Purnima. ‘Jam’ is being produced by Manna Production Company. ‘Gangchil’ is being made by adopting from a novel by Awami League General Secretarya and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader. Purnima's dream doesn’t end with these two films. She thinks she will redeem her old place in cinema again with both of these films. For the first time in her career, Purnima has acted in a drama opposite to singer and actor Tahsan Khan. It was directed by Sagar Jahan. The name of the play is ‘Bhalo Bashabashi’. Already the shooting of the drama has been completed at Uttara in the capital.Purnima said, “Earlier, I had acted under the guidance of another director while the story was written by Sagar. But for the first time I am working under the guidance of Sagar. He is a very good director. There are many spectacular dramas by him. I have also seen his works. So hearing his name, hearing the story, I agreed to do the job because I don’t always act in dramas. On the other hand, Tahsan is a renowned artiste. This is the first time I am working in a drama with him. Hopefully the work will be quite enjoyable.” The drama will be shown on ‘Global TV’ on the next Valentine’s Day.
