Public Ad girls champion in SUST inter-deptt handball

Inter-departmental Handball tournament has been completed in Shahjalal University of Science and Technology(SUST). In this, the Public Administration department (Girls) became champions for the first time after defeating the Economics department by 0-2 goals. On the other hand, in the boy's game, the mathematics department became the champion by defeating the economics department with a margin of 12-13 goals.

The final phase of the tournament was held on Wednesday (November 23) on evening at the handball ground of the university.

In the first match of the final game, the mathematics department defeated the economics department with a margin of 12-13 goals and became the champion. After that, in the girls' game, the Public Administration department won the honor of becoming champions for the first time by defeating the Economics department by 2-0. 

At the end of the game, the treasurer of the university called Md. Anwarul Islam distributed prizes among the players of the champion and runner-up teams as the chief guest congratulating the members of both the teams. 

The treasurer said that in sports there will be losers, but those who reach the final are champions. Because you beat everyone else and reached the finals. There is no substitute for sports in developing mindfulness, so sports must be loved. He thanked all the players and all concerned for the fair and beautiful completion of the competition. Then the treasurer handed over the trophy to the winning and runner-up teams.

The Director of Student Counseling and Guidance of the University Professor Amina Parveen, Head of Public Administration Department Professor Dr. Md. Shafiqul Islam, Professor Dr. Ashraf Siddiqui, Assistant Professor. Mahmud Hasan, Assistant Professor Zobayda Gulshan Ara were present during prize giving ceremony. 

On the other hand, the head professor of mathematics department. Mahbubur Rashid, Professor Dr. Rezwan Ahmed, Assistant Professor SM Saidur Rahman, Director of Physical Education Department Saud Bin Ambia and others were present.

Incidentally, 20 boys' teams and 9 girls' teams participated in this year's handball competition out of 28 divisions.
