PSC to announce 41st BCS circular soon

Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) will soon publish a circular regarding the 41st Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination. The authorities, however, did not specify any date. PSC and Public Administration Ministry sources said as they received the guideline from the Ministry of Public Administration for the 41st BCS examination, a circular will soon be released to this effect.

PSC Chairman Mohammad Sadiq told the journalists, "We have taken the final decision on releasing the notice on the 41st BCS examination. It will soon be published in various national newspapers and on PSC website.” Several PSC sources said that the notice is likely to be released on the last day of this month, otherwise it could be released in the first week of November.

Sources at the PSC said, they have received the requisition letter from the ministry. The PSC is now at the final stage to issue the notification on this BCS examination as per the directive of the ministry. It is reported that, most of the recruitments will be made for education cadre from the 41st BCS examination. A total of 915 candidates will be recruited in this cadre. Of these, 905 will be lecturers in BCS general education and 10 will be lecturers in technical education. After the education cadre most of the appointments will be made in the administration cadre. The administration will employ 323 persons. One hundred persons will be taken for the police service, 110 assistant surgeon for health cadre and 30 assistant dental surgeons.

Other recruitments will include 25 for Foreigner cadre, 25 for Ansar cadre , 25 for Audit and Accounts cadre, 60 for Taxation cadre, 28 for Customs and Excise cadre and 8 Assistant Registrars. In the statistics and information management department 12 officers will be taken followed by 12 assistant engineer engineers in the railway ministry, 1 traffic assistant superintendent, 1 assistant equipment controller, 20 assistant engineers (civil) and 8 assistant engineers (mechanical).

A total of 22 Assistant Director or Information Officer or Research Officers will be appointed in the Ministry of Information while 11 Assistant Director (Program), 5 Assistant Message Controllers, 9 Assistant Wire Engineers, 36 Assistant Engineers in the Local Government Department and 20 Assistant Forest Reserve Officers will be appointed.

There are 2 posts for Assistant Post Master General, 15 for Fisheries cadre , 76 for Livestock cadre, 183 Agricultural Extension cadre, 4 for Trade cadre, besides 6 scientific officers. A total of 2,550 officers, including 4 Family Planning Officers, 6 Food Assistant Food Controllers and 2 Assistant Maintenance Engineers, 36 Public Works Assistant Engineer (Civil) and 15 Assistant Engineers (E / M) will be appointed.
