The Public Service Commission (PSC) on Tuesday published the final results of the exam under the 39th special edition of Bangladesh Civil Service or BCS.
A total of 4,792 candidates for posts of surgeons became successful in the exam, the PSC said in a statement. The 39th BCS was organised specially for doctors.
Of the 4792 doctors, the PSC recommended recruiting 4542 as assistant surgeon and 250 as dental surgeon, said the press release. The number of examinees for assistant surgeon was 32,568 and for dental surgeon was 5145. Of them, 13,219 qualified for assistant surgeon post and 531 qualified for dental surgeon post in MCQ examination held on August 3, 2018. The viva voce began on October 10, 2018. The result of 39th BCS is also available on PSC’s website “www.bpsc.gov.bd’.
