The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has published a possible timeline for six BCS examinations, including the date for announcing the 49th BCS circular. According to the schedule released on the PSC’s official website, the circular for the 49th BCS will be issued on November 1, and the online application process will begin on the same day. The application deadline is set for November 30.
The PSC also revealed the schedules for other ongoing BCS exams. The final result of the 44th BCS will be published on June 30, while the written result of the 45th BCS is expected on June 19, with its final result on December 10. The written exam for the 46th BCS will start on July 24, and results are scheduled for December 18.
The preliminary test for the 47th BCS will be held on September 19, with results due on September 28. Written exams for this batch are planned to begin on November 27. Meanwhile, the 48th (special) BCS written exam is scheduled for July 18, with results to follow on July 21. The final recommendation for this special BCS is targeted for September 22.
The PSC noted that regular BCS preliminary exams are generally held two months after the circular is published, while written exams take place two months after the preliminary results. The schedule also ensures that candidates participating in multiple BCS exams will have at least a one-month gap between exams or interviews to avoid conflicts.
The commission mentioned that while these dates are tentative and subject to change for unavoidable reasons, every effort will be made to maintain the announced timeline. The PSC will release future milestones in December.
