The leaders and activists of the Students Against Discrimination have besieged the office of the Superintendent of Police in Dinajpur.
They are demanding the arrest of Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Mushfiqur Rahman for making derogatory comments about NCP leader Nahid Islam and others.
Their protest and sit-in program started on Wednesday night and continued till Thursday (July 17) afternoon when the report was filed.
At that time, Dinajpur Police Superintendent Md. Marufat Hussain said they are demanding the arrest of the accused Additional Police Superintendent Traffic Md. Mushfiqur Rahman.
Mushfiqur Rahman has already been withdrawn and asked to report to the headquarters.
The movement is being led by Ekramul Islam Abir, convener of the Dinajpur district unit of the Students Against Discrimination.
