The increase in the size of the proposed budget for 2020-21 fiscal year also entails high growth and revenue targets. The same goal of growth during the coronavirus situation in the budget of this fiscal is surely a proof of the goodwill and courage of the government.

High revenue targets have also been set and this leaves no room for speculation that many are questioning the achievement of this goal.

More realistically, the growth targets set last year when the budget was set were not achieved. One reason for this may be the instability caused by the onslaught of deadly coronavirus.

Although there is an impression of

sincerity in the announced budget

there is a lack of proper breakdown

The situation in which this year's budget had to be formulated and announced has never been the same since gaining independence.

As global economic activity in almost all domestic sectors is stagnant, this is where the budget is expected to play a stimulating role. As we have seen, the budget also has a tendency to please everyone.

We have seen that the budget is trying to give relief to the upper and middle class of the society with new income tax thresholds and this also sends a positive message to the lower class.

We can see the impression of various incentives in the budget. But there is no denying that the public wanted to see more allocations and clearer implementation processes in the health sector.

Although there is an impression of sincerity in the announced budget there is a clear lack of proper breakdown. We expect that in the next few days, there will be discussions and decisions on more clear steps in this regard.
