Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun on Thursday underscored the need for imparting proper trainings for creating skilled managers as per the country’s demand, reports BSS.

“As the country moves forward, the demand for skilled managers in various fields is increasing day by day. To fulfill the demand, the government will develop Bangladesh Institute of Management (BIM) as a technologically sophisticated organization,” he said. The minister said this while speaking as the chief guest at the foundation-stone laying function of a 12-storey building of BIM in the city, said a press release.

Chairman of the BIM Board of Directors and Industries Secretary Md Abdul Halim attended the function as the special guest while BIM Director General Tahmina Akter presided. Abdul Halim said the government will have to ensure international standard training to develop skilled and professional managers for implementing Vision-2021 and Vision-2041. “We will have to make expert managers as per the future demand of Bangladesh,” he added.
