A new trust fund titled “Professor Dr. AzizurRahman Trust Fund” has been established at the Department of Psychology of Dhaka University.
Retired Professor of the Psychology Department Dr. Azizur Rahman handed over a cheque for Tk. 25 lakh to Vice-Chancellor of the university Professor Dr. ASM Maksud Kamal on Monday (December 11, 2023) at Seminar Library of the department to set up the trust fund.
Dean of the Faculty of Biological Sciences Professor Dr. AKM Mahbub Hasan, Chairman of Psychology Department Prof. Dr. Kamal Uddin, some teachers and students were present on this occasion.
Out of the income of this Trust Fund, every year some financially challenged students of DU Psychology Department will be given scholarship.
Vice-Chancellor Professir Dr. ASM Maksud Kamal thanked the donor for his donation. Financially challenged students will be highly benefitted by this trust fund, he hoped.
The VC called upon the rich people of the society to come forward with their helping hands for financially challenged students following the example of Professor Dr. Azizur Rahman.
