‘Professionals like CMAs have huge scope to work for nation’s development’

Commerce Secretary at reception of new CMAs

Today Bangladesh is in the position which was patronized by 3 groups of low learned workers: agricultural workers, expatriates who are sending remittances and the garments workers. So skilled and professionals like CMAs have lots of scopes of works for the development of the nation, said Commerce SAecretary, Tapan kanti Ghosh on Sunday.

The Secretary was addressing a council of the Institute accorded an open hall reception to the students who passed CMA Special examination 2021 at ICMAB office in the capital.

Commerce Senior Secretary attended the program as Chief Guest while AHM Shafiquzzman, Additional Secretary (IIT) Ministry of Commerce and  AKM Delwer Hussain FCMA Past President of ICMAB and Advisor of South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) were present as special guests.

51 students who successfully qualified to achieve the prestigious CMA degree were warmly greeted by the Office Bearers, Councilors, Members and Students of the Institute. Newly qualified students were briefly introduced before the audience.

Tapan Kanti Ghosh congratulated the newly passed CMAs. Commerce Sr. Secretary assured to take necessary steps for the development of this profession and the Institute. He urged to give importance to bring up more female CMAs in the group as it is low in comparison to male passed CMAs. He emphasized on female empowerment otherwise it will be burden on us. 

ICMAB President Abu Bakar Siddique FCMA congratulated the newly graduated CMAs to work for the overall development of the country and the welfare of the people. Congratulating them on their success, he said that their families have contributed a lot to this success. Today’s success starts their new responsibilities. He urges them to make proper progress by keeping their responsibilities towards the profession and the institute. The program was conducted by Md. Ali Haider Chowdhury FCMA and vote of thank was given by Treasurer AKM Kmaruzzaman FCMA.

Past Presidents, Council Members, large number of Fellow and Associate Members of the Institute and a large number of running students attended the program.
