Prof. Muhammad Mahboob Ali, Professor of Economics, Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) has been invited by INTI International University, Malaysia to be a Volunteer Research Fellow for the period 26th August 2026 to 31st December 2028.
Prof Ali said he was honored to have been invited and trusted to do the job. He has kindly requested the consent and agreement of the institution to serve as a voluntary research fellow under the policies of INTI International University. The voluntary fellowship is subject to the university’s approval.
According to his Google Scholar profile, Prof. Ali has 4,240+ citations, an h-index of 28 and an i10-index of 105. Since 2021, he has been cited by other authors 2576 times with an h-index of 19 and an i10-index of 53.
His publication record includes 191 journal articles and book chapters. He is involved in 27 editorial board memberships of peer-reviewed publications, of which four are SCOPUS-indexed. He has also written 8 study textbooks, 21 Novels, 2 Short story books and 10 article collection books.
Besides, Prof. Ali is a regular contributor to English and Bengali publications, and appears in television talk shows on various themes of economics, entrepreneurship, IT, finance, banking and management.
He expressed the hope that the voluntary fellowship will help in enhancing research collaboration, international academic networking and publication engagement between Bangladesh and Malaysia.
