Former Lieutenant General of the Bangladesh Army, Professor Dr Sheikh Mamun Khaled, PhD has joined the Canadian University of Bangladesh as the Pro-Vice Chancellor, stated a press release issued by the University on Monday.
Professor Dr Mamun Khaled has previously served various important positions in the Bangladesh Army, including the Commandant of Bangladesh National Defense College. He has also successfully served as the Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) from 2013 to 2017. He became the first person to complete a PhD from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) and received the prestigious ‘Chancellor's Gold Medal’. His received his second PhD degree in 2020 from Jahangirnagar University on Visionary Leadership. He also received the ‘Chancellor's Gold Medal’ for outstanding achievements in MBA. The former Lieutenant General holds five master's degrees, including three MBA degrees from world-renowned institutions, one of which is Kings College London.
Professor DrMamunKhaled is currently studying for a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in Disruptive Leadership at Teesside University in the United Kingdom.
