Dr Mohammd Alamgir, a professor of Civil Department of Khulna Engineering and Technology University, has been appointed member to the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Prof Alamgir obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Bangladesh Engineering and Technology University (BUET) and did his Ph.D. and post-doctoral fellowship from Japan.
He served two consecutive tenures from July 21, 210 to August, 218 as vice chancellor in Khulna Engineering and Technology University.
Apart from his teaching, he was active in his research work and so far 242 research papers have been published.
Prof Alamgir was born in Chadpur in 1963.
