Prof Akhtaruzzaman stresses on inclusive edn

Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman stressed the need for inclusive education system to flourish intellectual capacity of the students.

He said, students must take lessons from each other through interdisciplinary interactions outside of classroom. The VC was addressing as chief guest the orientation programme of 1st year Honours students of different departments under the Faculty of Business Studies of DU on Thursday at TSC auditorium. Students’ Counseling and Guidance Office of DU organised the programme.

Director of Students’ Counseling and Guidance Office Professor Dr Mahjabeen Haque presided over the programme while Pro-VC (Administration) Professor Dr Muhammad Samad and Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies Prof. Shibli Rubayat-Ul- Islam addressed it as special guests. Chairmen and Students Advisors of different departments were present on this occasion.

Professor Akhtaruzzaman urged the students to play an effective role in ensuring a congenial academic atmosphere on the campus. They must help each other to bloom as worthy citizen, the VC added. He also called upon the students to work together to build Sonar Bangla as dreamt by the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
