Jamuna Fertilizer Factory, the country's largest urea producer located at Jamalpur Sarishabari, has resumed operations. After being closed for six months, the production of fertilizer in this factory started from Tuesday night.

According to JFCL sources, the authorities had stopped the production of Yamuna Fertilizer Factory on June 21 this year due to abnormally low gas pressure.  However, gas supply started again from Tuesday.  As a result, the production of fertilizer has started. The president of the factory workers' union, Moazzem Hossain, said that the workers are happy that the production of fertilizer has started in the factory after six months. Truck driver Chaher Palawan said, "Since the production of fertilizer was stopped, we were in a lot of trouble for six months because of drinking water."  As a result of the factory opening, we don't have to suffer any more. General manager of the factory, Delwar Hossain said, since gas supply has started, fertilizer production has started from last night.
