Police on Tuesday recovered the body of a private television (TV) channel journalist from his rented house in Kalabagan area of the capital.
The deceased was identified as Qudrat-E-Khuda Hridoy, 27. He was a multi-media reporter of Jamuna TV.
The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
Saiful Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Kalabagan Police Station said they were primarily suspecting that the deceased might have committed suicide.
Getting information, a team of police rushed to the house on Lake Circus Road and found the body hanging from a ceiling fan in a garret on the rooftop of the building at noon. He further said, “We found the door of the garret open, in which he lived. We are suspecting that he might have committed suicide.He expressed his decision about suicide through a status on his social media site”.
The journalist had relationship with a girl, police sources said.
