An incident of robbery of a private car has taken place on the Chatmohar-Mannannagar road in Pabna. The incident took place at Kujor Mor area of Nimaichra Union of the upazila around 9:30 pm on Wednesday, but the car has not yet been recovered.
It is known that on Wednesday, three robbers in a passenger car rented a Dhaka Metro-G 1924 36 No. X Corolla (white color) private car used by Farooq Akand, son of Roshan Akand of Akand Para, Hatikumrul area of Sirajganj, and returned to Sirajganj in a passenger car in different areas of Chatmohar. On the way, at around 9:30 pm, the car stopped at the Kujore Junction area, asking to go to the bathroom. At that time, the driver of a hijacked car stabbed and assaulted Farooq, got him out of the car and fled with the car. Locals rescued him and took him to Chatmohar Upazila Health Complex. In this regard, Chatmohar police station officer-in-charge Jalal Uddin confirmed the truth of the incident and said that no written complaint has been received. Police teams are working to recover the vehicle.
