The 112th birth anniversary of Bangalee revolutionary nationalist Pritilata Waddedar was observed in Panchbibi upazila ofJoypurhat district on Saturday in a befitting manner. To mark the day, a discussion on her life was held at the municipality auditorium here this morning, organised by Upazila Liberation War Museum.
With President of the museum Curator Professor Md Lokman Ali in the chair, the discussion was addressed, among others, by Municipality Mayor Habibur Rahman Habib, Panel Mayor Nur Hossain, Lecturer Aminul Islam and School Teachers Nasrin Akhter and Farhad Alam Juel.
On May 5 in 1911, Pritilata was born in a middle-class Vaidya Brahmin family at Dhalghat village in Patiya upazila of Chattogram district.
