A prisoner died while undergoing treatment at the Dhaka Medical College (DMH) Hospital after falling ill in the Keraniganj Central Jail of Dhaka.
The identity of the prisoner is Mohammad Shah Alam Kalu, 45, son of Md. Azmat Ali.
The prison guards took the prisoner from the central prison to DMCH in an ill condition in the afternoon.
Prison guard MD Sohag said that the prisoner was taken to DMCH when he suddenly fell ill in the Central Jail around noon. The doctor declared him dead in the afternoon.
He also said that Shah Alam Kalu was a prisoner in Central Jail. However, it is not known in what case he was arrested.
