Prime Minister's Eid gifts have been distributed among one and a half thousand helpless families of Rajapur and Kanthalia upazilas of Jhalakati. Central Awami League leader and director of Karnafuli Gas Distribution Company Limited M Moniruzzaman Monir was present as the chief guest on Saturday afternoon and distributed these items first in Rajapur and later in Kanthalia.
Food items include rice, pulses, sugar, semai and soybean oil. Besides, Awami League central leader M Moniruzzaman Monir distributed checks worth Tk 560,000 to 11 people from the Prime Minister's Relief Fund for their treatment. Upazila Awami League President Advocate Khairul Alam Sarfaraz, General Secretary and Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Zia Haider Liton, Organizing Secretary Riaz Matubbar and Mathbari Union Parishad Chairman Jalal were present on the occasion.
