Primary school libraries to create interest in books among students

"Primary School Library" has been launched so that children and teenagers are interested in books without becoming mobile oriented and addicted to mobile phones. In this library, there are various kinds of books based on the Liberation War, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu's biography, cartoons, children's stories, children's literature, poetry, general knowledge, history and traditions. Upazila Education Office and Upazila Administration have taken this laudable initiative to develop children's mental development, mental improvement, talent development, interest in reading, increasing knowledge and book orientation. Supported by World Vision Bangladesh Kishoreganj Area Office. Its founders said that this school library can play a leading role in making children and teenagers into enlightened people by preventing them from becoming mobile-oriented and mobile-addicted.

Primary School Library was officially inaugurated at Keshba United Model Government Primary School of Kishoreganj Upazila of Nilphamari on Monday noon. It was auspiciously inaugurated by Upazila Executive Officer Noor-e-Alam Siddiqui. Upazila Education Officer Sharifa Khatun, Assistant Upazila Education Officer Motahar Hossain, Head Teacher Safiqul Islam, World Vision Bangladesh Kishoreganj Manager Picking Chambugong, Program Officer Swapan spoke. School teachers, managing committee members, students were present.

The school library has more than 250 books based on the Liberation War, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu's biography, cartoons, children's stories, children's literature, poetry, children's stories, general knowledge, history and traditions. Apart from Keshba United Model Government Primary School, Panialpukur Mixed Government Primary School, Bherveri Majhapara Government Primary School and Bogulagari Government Primary School, this school library has been established in the upazila.

Ishrat Jahan, a 5th grade student of Keshba United Model Government Primary School said - We can read books in the library. Reading will be easy. Also our knowledge will increase. He also said - We are fortunate to have a diverse library in our school.

Safiqul Islam, the head teacher of Keshba United Government Primary School, said that the knowledge of the children and teenagers of this school will increase along with the ease of reading. Besides, the students of this school will be free from the fear of mobile addiction as their interest in books increases. As a result, the results will be good.

Kishoreganj AP manager Picking Chambugong said - We are working with children and teenagers. This plan has been taken to keep children and teenagers away from mobile addiction.

Upazila Education Officer Sharifa Akhtar said - we hope to increase awareness of cleanliness, increase interest in school and ensure quality primary education.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Noor-e-Alam Siddiqui said - Primary school library will play a leading role in building enlightened people. On the other hand, the mental and intellectual development of the students of the school. Besides reading books, every child-teenager will rush to acquire knowledge. School children and teenagers will become book lovers and wise instead of mobile addicts. I hope that Kishoreganj upazila of tomorrow will be a meeting place and a model upazila of book lovers, knowledge-hungry students.
