The primary admission process for the 2024-25 academic session under the cluster system of 19 public universities in the country will begin on June 22.
Cluster Convener and Vice Chancellor of Maulana Bhashani Science and Technology University, Professor Dr. Md. Anwarul Azim Akhand, confirmed the matter after a meeting with the vice-chancellors of the participating universities on Monday.
He said that the results of the cluster admission tests have already been published. Now, the primary admission process will be conducted centrally as per the scheduled plan.
According to the decision, the primary admission activities will continue till July 7. Based on merit and subject choice, the final admissions will be held from July 28 to July 31 at the respective universities.
Professor Dr. Anwarul Azim Akhand also mentioned that if everything proceeds smoothly, classes for the newly admitted students of the 2024-25 academic year will begin in the first week of August.
This year, like previous years, 19 public universities of science and technology, general, and agricultural categories are participating in the cluster system to ease the admission process for students and parents.
The admission committees of the universities have been asked to take necessary preparations for the final admissions and the smooth start of the new academic year.
The authorities said all admission-related notices and instructions will be available on the cluster system’s official website and the individual university portals. Students have been advised to regularly check the websites for updates.
