A day-long workshop has been organized by the Kompaniganj Upazila Administration of Noakhali with the aim of formulating an integrated action plan for the prevention of drug abuse.
Companiganj Upazila Parishad Chairman Mohammad Shahab Uddin inaugurated the day-long workshop at the Upazila Parishad auditorium on Monday morning.
The workshop was chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mohammad Khorshed Alam Chowdhury and conducted by Abdul Hamid, Assistant Director, Noakhali Narcotics Control Department.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Overall) Israt Sadmin, Veer Muktijoddha Azizul Haque and others spoke on the occasion conducted by Assistant Secondary Education Officer Didar Hossain. The workshop was attended by UP Chairman, UP members, teachers, imams of mosques and local journalists.
Speakers at the workshop agreed to build a social movement to prevent drug abuse.
