President Mohammed Shahabuddin and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of former lawmaker, eminent writer, researcher and intellectual Professor Panna Kaiser.
The President and the PM expressed the shock through separate condolence messages issued on Friday (August 4).
In this condolence message, President Mohammed Shahabuddin said that the nation will remember Panna Kaiser’s contribution as a member of the martyred intellectual family in achieving the Independence of Bangladesh.
He prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family. In her condolence message, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the members of the bereaved family.
Panna Kaiser, wife of martyred intellectual Shahidullah Kaiser and also mother of actress Shomi Kaiser, died at a hospital in the city at the age of 73. Information Minister and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud also expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Panna Kaiser.
In a condolence message, he prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the members of the bereaved family.
Dr Hasan Mahmud said Panna Kaiser was a unique example of profound wisdom and vigor.
The country has lost a Liberation War researcher, writer and devoted children's organizer at her death, he said, adding that she will stay alive in the hearts of people with her work.
