President M Abdul Hamid reiterated his tough stance against corruption, saying the authorities concerned must ensure exemplary punishment to the corrupt individuals. The head of the state on Friday came up with this directive in a recorded speech at a discussion marking the “International Anti-Corruption Day 2022”, asking to start campaign against corruption from respective houses.
Besides, reaffirming her government’s tough stance against corruption and irregularities, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also repeatedly issued strong warning against graft especially by public servants. But the common people are yet to get rid of the menace of corruption, irregularities and mismanagement as no stern action has been taken against the corrupt officials and employees from grassroots to central level.
The public
servants who would abuse
the power and responsibilities should
be dealt with an iron hand and brought to
justice under the existing law immediately
service seekers either rural or urban area are being harassed and humiliated in many ways by the greedy and corrupt officials and employees when they go to the government offices to get service or other important purposes.
We all must boycott corrupts socially and raise our voice against corruption in the spirit of the War of Liberation to build a corruption free prosperous society.
The public servants who would abuse the power and responsibilities should be dealt with an iron hand and brought to justice under the existing law immediately. If any government official is found involved in corruption, he or she should not be spared.
So, the authorities concerned of the ACC will have to take more effective and bold steps to combat corruption. In this regard, officials and employees of the ACC must show utmost neutrality and morality at all levels in order to ensure that the image of the entire anti-graft watchdog is not tarnished for only some individuals’ controversial activities.
The people who would abuse the state power and responsibilities must be brought to justice under the existing law. The anti-graft watchdog ACC in association with other authorities concerned must follow the President M Abdul Hamid’s order and ensure exemplary punishment to the corrupt individuals.
