Presidency University is moving confidently toward the future with CSE Fest 2025, a week-long celebration of technology, creativity and academic ambition. Held from late November to early December, the festival reflects a renewed vision within the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), which is preparing students for an increasingly dynamic digital world. With industries rapidly transformed by emerging technologies, the fest serves as the university’s timely response—bringing together artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, programming and multidisciplinary problem-solving to connect classroom learning with real-world innovation.
The festival began with the efforts of Organizing Chair Prof. Dr. Shahidul Islam Khan, dedicated faculty members, enthusiastic students and staff. The opening ceremony welcomed Professor Dr Md Anwarul Kabir, Honorable Principal Advisor, whose presence underscored the importance of academic leadership in strengthening technological readiness. In his remarks, he emphasized how such platforms inspire students to explore, experiment and grow beyond traditional coursework.
Across six days, CSE Fest offered a blend of intellectual challenge and campus vibrancy.
28 November featured the Inter-Batch Cricket Tournament and E-Sports Showdown. 29 November focused on deep problem-solving through a Hackathon, Logic Summit and indoor competitions. On 30 November, the Programming Contest, Freshers’ Reception and Cultural Night showcased student creativity. 1 December, included a Seminar Session with experts and a Poster Presentation of student research. A Grand Prize Distribution Ceremony on 11 December honored outstanding achievements.
Career preparedness was a key theme. Sheikh Arif Ahmed, Product Manager & Director at Appnap Technologies Ltd, delivered a Career Talk highlighting essential industry skills and professional growth. Another major attraction was Nascenia Ltd’s workshop on Conversational AI & Chatbots, led by Sheikh Shaer Hassan and S. M. Nahid Hasan, offering hands-on experience with modern conversational systems.
Distinguished computer scientist Professor Dr Mohammad Kaykobad reminded students that true fulfillment lies in intellect and mindset, urging them to embrace confidence and recognize their global potential.
For the CSE Department, the festival symbolizes a renewed academic direction—merging rigor, practical skill-building, and industry engagement. As Presidency University expands its offerings, CSE Fest 2025 stands as a defining milestone of innovation and excellence.
