Premier University’s budget approved

The syndicate meeting of Premier University was held on Saturday morning. 

The meeting was chaired by sociologist, Ekushey Medal winning Premier University Vice Chancellor and Syndicate President Prof Dr Anupam Sen.

 Deputy Minister for Education, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Premier University Barrister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nawfel MP, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Member of the Board of Trustees Barrister Biplob Barua, Additional Secretary for Secondary and Higher Education Kazi Monirul Islam were also present on the occasion.  

The budget for the fiscal year 2020-21 was raised for approval at the Syndicate meeting of Premier University, which was approved at the Finance Committee meeting last September 14.

The proposed budget was discussed in detail at the syndicate meeting.  

Large sums of money were allocated for research by giving priority to research in the discussion.

In addition, a large sum of money was sanctioned for books, journals and lab materials as research and teaching materials for teachers and students.
