Practicing institutional democracy stressed in Jhenaidah

The speakers in a seminar at Shailkupa town in Jhenaidah had urged upon the freedom fighters and new generation to practice institutional democracy for building a corruption and militant-free Bangladesh based on four principles of the out constitution as desired by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman,  designed in 1971.

Bangladesh Juba Union Shailkupa upazila unit organized the seminar titled “Independence of Bangladesh, present scenario and 27 Kamanna Martyrs” where local unit president Bayazid Chasha presided over. Senior journalist Delwar Kabir was present as chief discussant and chief guest, while heroic freedom fighter Lutfar Rahman Tulu and Abul Hashem, Shailkupa City Degree College principal Tofazzel Hossain, Udichi Shilpi goshthi Jhenaidah district unit president KM Shariful Islam, Shailkupa public hall and library general secretary Swapan Bagchi, Juba Union Jhenaidah district unit president Abu Toab Apu, schoolteacher Lokman Hossain and student Tafia Tajmin Astha among others spsoke. Sujan Biplab facilitated the event. 

The speakers said the people of the country if far from the real democracy when the practice of the thing is not institution-based in last 51 years. Yet the vested quarters have been threatening out sovereignty to destroy it. Here the heroic freedom fighters and patriotic people must join under the same umbrella for a meaningful and democratic platform following the constitution.

To ensure a just and meaningful society the evil roots of the enemies should be uprooted with the joint collaboration of the young forces grown mentally with the spirit of liberation war of 1971.

The government of Sheikh Hasina will do more and more for the freedom fighters abide their present facilities so that their next generation could survive to hold the spirit that their guardians had taught.
