With the improvement of ongoing electricity and weather situation, country’s people have started heaving a sigh of relief. The country experienced an unprecedented load shedding coupled with extreme heat wave in the last few days. However, the power situation has started improving since Friday while light to moderate rain has also brought relief to the city dwellers in capital Dhaka, metropolitan cities, district towns and rural areas.
Country’s people believe Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina led Awami League government has kept Bangladesh in a good position and provided electricity to each house. The government is working sincerely and doing its best to fix the country’s power crisis. The government is importing coal to operate power plant. But, leaders of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) are now cashing the loadshedding issue and trying to create chaos in the country.

After registering the party’s protest across the country against the ongoing loadshedding, BNP will now stage marches in the metropolitan cities, including the capital to mount pressure on the government to ensure uninterrupted power supply tomorrow (Tuesday) while the party’s Dhaka south and north units will observe a similar programme on June 16.
The party (BNP) is now desperate to turn the country into a state of lawlessness and religious extremism, extreme communalism and militancy in the name of movement. People know BNP-Jamaat government had plunged the country into darkness during their regime when there was load-shedding for half a day and factories were shut down.
The leaders and workers of BNP-Jamaat clique, other anti-liberation forces and some elements are also spreading propaganda over power sector at home and abroad. But, the country’s people do not believe in propaganda, instead they put their faith in the socioeconomic development efforts and achievement of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina-led government. Therefore, as power situation improves, we all must remain alert about anti-constitutional activities and plots against the country’s Liberation War and independence.
