Thakurgaon district unit of the Bangladesh Poultry Association formed a human chain program to call for a six-point demand, including reducing the cost of feed and chicks, resolving the chick supply crisis, ensuring fair pricing of feed and poultry products, providing easy loan facilities, and, above all, reducing production costs.
The human chain program was held on Tuesday noon at the Chowrasta area in the Thakurgaon city.
Over a hundred male and female poultry farm owners participated in the human chain. After the human chain, the farmers marched in a protest rally to the District Commissioner's office premises and submitted a memorandum outlining their six-point demands.
