The Department of Posts and Telecommunications has published a commemorative book titled 'Bangabandhu on his birth centenary'. The 480-page researched and informative book edited by the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications Mustafa Jabbar and under the patronage of Secretary Khalilur Rahman has brought out the involvement of the Department of Posts and Telecommunications with many important historical events of national life. The Minister of Posts and Telecommunications unveiled the book on Wednesday.
Under the chairmanship of the Secretary of Posts and Telecommunications Department Khalilur Rahman and moderated by Additional Secretary Md. Mahbub Ul Alam, the Minister of Telecommunications in the speech of the Chief Guest in the function organized on the occasion at the conference hall of the Bangladesh Secretariat of Posts and Telecommunications Department in Dhaka called the book titled 'Bangabandhu's Birth Centenary' as a journey to participate in the third industrial revolution. Mentioned as a historical document. He said the important information about the transfer of Bangabandhu's historical declaration of independence from Moghbazar T&T office to Salimpur has come up in the book. The fact that Bangabandhu included Bangladesh in the international telecommunication sphere by establishing a geo-satellite center at Betbunia, overcoming hundreds of years of backwardness in technology at the hands of the father of the nation, was the beginning of our efforts to participate in the third industrial revolution. The steps of Bengali progress have been brought out in the book through data. The Minister mentioned that the importance of the Department of Posts and Telecommunications in the national life will remain a part of history.
It should be mentioned the historical involvement of the post and telecommunication department with Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the post and telecommunication department in the policy-making and important documents, the post and telecommunication department in the documents of the great liberation war, the post and telecommunication department and the offices under it, the 50 years of success of the organization, Bangabandhu's dream of the post office. And to accelerate the progress of the telecommunications department, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's policy-making speeches, selected essays and activities and future plans of the Posts and Telecommunications Department to fulfill Bangabandhu's dreams are presented in 7 chapters. 14 important informative documents are appended in the appendices.

Later, the Minister unveiled five other Postal Acts, Telecom Acts, SDGs and the Annual Report of the Posts and Telecommunications Department published by the Department of Posts and Telecommunications in 2022.
