The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations under the Cumilla Education Board, which were previously postponed due to floods and adverse weather conditions, will now be held on August 12.
Board officials confirmed that the exam originally scheduled for July 10 was postponed due to the sudden deterioration of the flood situation in Feni and other areas under the board's jurisdiction. As floodwaters rose across several districts, including Feni and Noakhali, the board was compelled to delay the exam to ensure the safety of students and staff.
Runa Nasrin, Controller of Examinations at the Cumilla Education Board, said the exam had to be rescheduled due to the worsening conditions in flood-affected regions. “The safety of students and smooth conduct of the exam is our top priority. Considering the ground realities, we have decided to hold the postponed HSC exam on August 12,” she stated.
On July 9, the board officially announced the postponement of the exam set for the following day, citing serious flood threats and logistical challenges. The affected exam will now be administered on the newly fixed date, with all previously issued admit cards remaining valid.
Students and guardians have been advised to stay updated through official notices from the board’s website and educational institutions. Authorities also assured that all necessary measures will be taken to ensure a smooth and secure environment for the rescheduled examination.
The rest of the HSC examinations are continuing as per the revised schedule announced earlier by the board.
