‘Porichchonnotar Ongikar’ spreads across country

To build a healthy and beautiful country, ‘Bangladesh Scouts’ and ‘Dettol Harpic Porichchonno Bangladesh’ has been campaigning across the country. 2500 scout members have been working under the campaign across 25 significant points of Dhaka to spread the message of cleanliness. Now, in continuation of it, the second phase of the campaign "Porichchonnotar Ongikar" will be carried out in Chandpur district.

 With the aim to spread the message of cleanliness among the people of the country, the campaign will begin on January 31 at Hajiganj Bazar and Bakila Bazar of Habiganj Upazila as well as Chandpur Municipality Bus Terminal, Kali Bari crossing and Palbazar Gate area on February 1. About five hundred adolescents from Bangladesh Scouts will participate in this awareness campaign. 

The National Commission for Bangladesh Scouts (Social Development and Health) and Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, Md. Shah Kamal will be present as the chief guest and National Deputy Commissioner of Bangladesh Scouts (Social Development and Health) Department and Director General of the Department of Primary Education Md. Fusiullah alongside Md. Hemayat Hossain, National Deputy Commissioner of Bangladesh Scouts (Social Development and Health) Division and Regional Executive Officer of Dhaka North City Corporation will be present as special guests. Mohammad Salauddin Ahmed Tarek, Chief Coordinator of 'Dettol Harpic Porichchonno Bangladesh' and Md. Rakib Uddin will also be present during the campaign.

The main purpose of this campaign is to create a healthy, beautiful and clean Bangladesh for future generations by creating awareness among the people of the country and making them commit to cleanliness. It will generate awareness about the significance of personal and social cleanliness, hand hygiene, environmental hygiene and safe sanitation.

It is to be noted that Bangladesh Scouts and Dettol Harpic Porichchonno Bangladesh started their campaign on "Porichchonnotar Ongikar” on September 3, 2019, in the central Shaheed Minar premises of the capital. The campaign was inaugurated by Dr. Md. Enamur Rahman, M.P, Minister of State for Disaster Management and Relief of the People's Republic of Bangladesh and the nationwide launch of 'Dettol Harpic Cleanliness Drive in Educational Institutions’ 'campaign was inaugurated on September 4, 2019, at Azimpur Government Girls School and College premises. 

Minister for Liberation War Affairs of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, A. K. M. Mozammel Haque, and M.P. inaugurated the program. Month-Long cleanliness activities were conducted in different areas of the capital to ensure a beautiful and clean Bangladesh. About 20,000 students and 30,000 pedestrians, including members of Bangladesh Scouts, pledged of commitment to cleanliness.
