Aranya Anwar directed Liberation War-based film ‘Maa’ is all set to be released on May 19.
Renowned Bangladeshi actress Pori Moni will starrer in the film.
A press conference was held on Friday to unveil the promo and poster of the film. The cast and crew of the film, including Pori Moni and Sariful Razz were present at the event.
"The journey of this film will always be engraved in my memory. When I was shooting for "Maa", I was pregnant with Rajya. Now when the film will be released, he will be in my arms. I can't explain how happy I am," said Pori Moni.
The story of the film is set in the background of our Liberation War in 1971. The feeling of loss and desperation of a mother, when her 7-month-old baby is declared dead, will be portrayed in the film.
The shooting of the film started in January last year.
The film also stars Azad Abul Kalam, Sazu Khadem, Farzana Chabi and Shahadat Hossain among others.
