Popular Filmstar of the Dhakaites Cinema world Sadeque Bachchu died of Coronavirus infection at Universal Medical College Hospital at the noon ( 12.05 PM) of September-14 (Monday).
Dr. Ashish Kumar Chakravarty, Managing Director of Universal Medical College Hospital informed Bangladesh Post that filmstar Sadeque Bachchu suffered from irregular and stoppage of heartbeat several times from Monday morning. At last, he died at 12.05 pm, confirmed Dr. Ashish.
Recently, Sadeque Bacchu was suffering from fever. Later he developed a problem in breathing when he was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Family sources of Bacchu on Saturday informed that he had been suffering from Coronavirus.
Later on, the breathing problem of Sadeque Bachchu increased and his physical condition deteriorated further when he was shifted from DMCH to Universal Hospital where he had been under treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of the Covid unit. But, his physical condition did not improve. From Sunday, 80 per cent of his heart and lung turned dysfunctional and from Monday morning his heart suffered several strokes and closing the heartbeat. At last, he died while under treatment in the ventilation.
The film world of the country suffered a great shock at the sudden demise of this popular filmster. Thousands of his fans and followers have also expressed great shock at the death of this star in the Social Media.
During his five-decade of career, filmster Bacchu had a wide-ranging presence in the stage, radio, television and in the cinema. He got his popularity as a villain after his performance at the 'Chandni' cinema in the '90's decade.
In 1963, Sadeque Bachchu started to act in radio programme through 'Khelaghar'. At the same time he also performed in the stages. His first theatre performance was at the 'Gono Natya Parisahad. Later, in 1972-'73 he joined the Group Theatre and he participated in the Television drama at first in 1974.
Among the renowned films performed by Sadeque Bachchu are : ' Judge Barrister Police Commissioner', ' Jibon Nadir Tirey', 'Jor Kore Bhalobasha hoi na', 'Tomar Majhe Ami', 'Dhaka to Bombay', ' Bhalobasha Jindabad', ' Ek Joban', Amar Swopno Amar Sangsar', ' Mon Boshena Proar Table a' ,' Badhubaran', 'Maidan,' Amar Praner Swami,' ' Anado Ashru,' ' Priojan,' and 'Sujon Sakhi'.
The actual name of Sadeque Bacchu is Mahboob Ahmed Sadeque. He is hailed from Chandpur but was born in Dhaka. Popular film director, filmster Ehtesham changed his name as Sadeqyue Bachchu. He was graduated from T&T Night College in Dhaka.
