‘Policemen must stand beside people’

2-day training workshop on beat policing ends in Jhenaidah

To make a peaceful society with the policing services at doorsteps of the people, Jhenaidah police organized two-day training course for the beat policing staffs in Jhenidah. The concluding session was held on Saturday with a slogan to build a peaceful society ensuring services at the doorsteps of the people.

 Superintendent of police (SP) Hasanauzzamn concluded the training course for the second batch at Jhenaidah police lines through a simple ceremony. Hasanuzzaman himself conducted the daylong training session.

A total of 120 policemen including 42 sub inspectors (SIs) and assistant sub inspectors (ASIs) each and 84 constables of the said beat policing units attended the first day of the training. 

Additional superintendent of police in Jhenidah Sadar circle Abul Bashar, senior assistant superintendent of police (ASP) in Shailkupa circle Arifuzzaman, detective branch officer in charge (OC) Anwar Hossain, Moheshour police station OC Saiful Islam, Kaliganj OC Mahfuzur Rahman and Shailkupa police station OC Jahangir Hossain  also attended the training session.

SP said the policemen are very closure to the people with their community and other timely welfare services when the country was marching faster under the guidance of inspector general of police (IGP) Dr. Benazir Ahmed as per the instruction of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. 

To make the country free from militancy, terrorism, dacoity, women and children repression, drug, smuggling, communalism, social riots and other crimes, the policemen will stand by the people as their near and dear ones in the society. They have to remember that the police are not their masters, rather service providers to each and every people.

As the legal rights are mandatory for every citizen, the police men will render their utmost services. The police had so far inaugurated a total of 85 beat policing offices in Jhenidah Sadar, Kaliganj, Kotchandpur, Moheshpur, Shailkupa and Harinakundu upazila. 

Each beat policing office will be provided with a sub inspector and assistant sub inspector and two constables who will ensure faster services round the clock with efficiency. They will bear the responsibility for the respective beat. 

The department will not bear the responsibility of negligence, bribe, misconduct, torture, corruption and other evil activities of any individual at any way. 

Training for the second batch with equal forces will expected to be held on September 2, SP informed.
