Police to take stern action against price hikes

Police high ups on Monday instructed all field level officers to take necessary measures to prevent the price hikes of essential commodities during the  Holy Ramadan.

According to the police headquarters sources, a virtual meeting was held to give various instruction to curb the price hikes.

Police will take serious action against all those responsible for price hikes in the markets. 

Additional IGP (Crime and Operations) Md. Atiqul Islam presided over the meeting.

All Metropolitan Police Commissioners, Range DIGs and District Superintendents took part in the virtual meeting. 

DIG (Operations) Md Anwar Hossain, DIG (Crime Management) Joydeb Kumar Bhadra and concerned officials were present at the police headquarters.

Adl IGP Md. Atiqul Islam also directed the field level officials to intensify operations to recover lost mobile sets and  to increase patrols  for preventing  mobile set  hijacking and thefts .

Emphasized on the need to minimize juvenile crimes in the country, he said, “We shall take  stern action to eliminate juvenile gangs before they are formed in any area.”

 The senior police official also ordered to take special measures to prevent road accidents on regional roads.
