Police to maintain order in garment factories

CMP chief assures BGMEA

The Chittagong Metropolitan Police has assured Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) of continued cooperation in maintaining peace and order in the garment industry.

CMP Commissioner Saleh Mohammad Tanvir made the assurance after a BGMEA delegation led by BGMEA First Vice-President Mohammad Abdus Salam made courtesy call on the former at the Dampara Police Lines Commissioner's Office on Tuesday.

BGMEA Vice President AM Chowdhury Selim, Director Khandaker Belayet Hossain, Mohammad Atiq and Enamul Aziz Chowdhury and CMP Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime and Operations) SM Mostaq Ahmed Khan, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters) Mohammad Amir Zafar were present on the occasion. .

Mohammad Abdus Salam congratulated and wished the new Police Commissioner. He thanked the CMP for its continued support in maintaining a peaceful law and order situation in the garment industry sector in Chittagong.

Police Commissioner Saleh Mohammad Tanvir assured the BGMEA leaders to continue overall cooperation in the readymade garment industry.
